Michelle Alcorn

President & CEO

Michelle Alcorn is our President and the Founder of R&R Solution. Her passion is in connecting people with the right opportunity and helping them meet their personal goals. Her motivation and skilled entrepreneurial spirit have driven her career and expertise in the areas of business development, operations, recruitment, retention, coaching, leadership, training, and service excellence.

Michelle has been a successful executive and leader of various businesses across Canada for more than 25 years. She has lived in Toronto and the East Coast; she understands both large and small communities and companies.

Rosalind Miller

VP Recruitment & Public Relations

Rosalind is our VP of Recruitment and Public Relations. She loves to connect with people from all walks of life and help them on their journey. She has traveled to more than 30 countries which has helped her learn valuable lessons in problem-solving and people skills while making her a strong believer that nearly everything is solvable with the right perspective.

Her professional curiosity and practical experience enable her to understand the human factor in every situation.

She has been immersed in a wide background of community and charitable involvement over the years and enjoys being surrounded by family, passionate people, traveling, meditation, and forest bathing.

Nicola Sattler

Academic Director
B.A., B.Ed., TESL Cert.

Nicola is the Academic Director and one of the English Language Instructors at Atlantic Canada Language Academy. Her career as a second language teacher began over 15 years ago in Spain. Since then, she has taught groups and individual learners of all ages and levels of proficiency. Her own experiences as a language learner, combined with her familiarity of living and traveling abroad, complement her formal pedagogical training and strong intuitions in the teaching profession.

Richard McMullen

International Recruitment Manager

Richard joins us in Nova Scotia after spending a few decades abroad teaching English, tour guiding, concert promoting & bar-tending. He has also visited over 30 countries since he graduated from University of Toronto with a BA in History and Sociology; adding several language teaching certificates along the way: CELTA, TEFL Canada, IB Business English & IELTS Cambridge. He has ample experience dealing the public and especially international clients. Notably, he has worked at an International School in Berlin for many years, and he founded and managed his own accredited EFL School in Ireland for 15 years.  

Jackie Belliveau

Student Services Coordinator and Admissions Advisor

Jackie works directly with the students to ensure they are getting the most out of their experience in Canada. She has a unique and varied background that melds together to make her a compassionate, passionate, knowledgeable addition to the team. Whether you need advice on the programs, the region, or even nutrition and real estate, Jackie will be able to help. She looks forward to sharing her love of Nova Scotia with you and helping to make your stay the best it can possibly be.

Marianne Stante

ESL Teacher
BA, TESL

Marianne is an experienced ESL teacher with a background in Academic ESL. She has been teaching for more than 20 years and has travelled to more than 30 countries.

She started her ESL experience in Vancouver, BC, after a 6-month backpacking trip across Europe. She appreciated the varied cultures and nationalities she experienced and this shaped her drive to teach English. She taught in Korea for five years at various levels and ages, from kindergarten to seniors! Once back in Canada, she carried out language assessments for Citizenship and Immigration, helping newcomers study English by placing them in the appropriate classes. She comes to us from Ontario and is happy to be making Nova Scotia her new home

Brenda has a unique perspective on the challenges faced by those living and working in a foreign country thanks to her wide experience. Her career began in New Brunswick teaching High School English. She later took an opportunity to live and work in Asia. It was because of this English Language Teaching that she decided to add an ICELT certificate to her credentials. 

Brenda has taught a variety of ages and abilities from grade school to teacher training. Shortly after retiring to Bridgewater, she joined the outreach program of Eurocentres Atlantic. With her, she brings lots of experience, training and understanding

Paula Cheal

ESL Teacher
B.Ed., M.Ed., TEFL

Paula started her career as an elementary school teacher in England and when in search of adventure, retrained to teach EFL to adults. She taught in the Czech Republic and Estonia and eventually continued her EFL career in the UK while gaining her Masters in TEFL. In 2011, she moved to Nova Scotia with her family and loves living on the South Shore! Paula has experience teaching academic, general, and professional English and is a core teacher in all ACLA EAL programs.

Marcela Suazo Pérez

Recruitment Advisor Chile

Marcela was born in Puerto Natales, Chile. She learned how to speak English in Ohio, USA, where she completed her senior year of High school. Her experience inspired her to become a teacher and she has spent more than 20 years teaching English in High Schools. She has spent more than ten years following her passion for sharing her experiences by assisting students to study abroad.

Marcela is a people person and has also worked in the tourism sector in hotel management for more than 12 years until she decided to sell her hotel and give her family the opportunity to move to Canada while studying and teaching as well.

Jacqueline Huynh (Huynh Le Phuong Co)

Asian Recruitment Manager
M.A. in TESOL

Before joining ACLA, Jacqueline worked as a lecturer of a university in Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnam for more than 23 years. She has experience teaching General English and English for Specific Purposes.

Paula started her career as an elementary school teacher in England and when in search of adventure, retrained to teach EFL to adults. She taught in the Czech Republic and Estonia and eventually continued her EFL career in the UK while gaining her Masters in TEFL. In 2011, she moved to Nova Scotia with her family and loves living on the South Shore! Rob has been with Eurocentres since 2019, after completing his CELTA at St. Mary’s University.

He lives in Nova Scotia and loves the natural beauty of the rugged coastal landscape. Exploring the province is his hobby and brings his experiences and enthusiasm to the classroom.

Rob is currently learning French, and his experience of being a new language learner gives him an understanding from the students’ perspective

Brenda Noftell

ESL Teacher – outreach
N.B.T.L. , B.A., ICELT, (Cambridge University)
